Western NC Hiking - Georgia Hiking

Jackrabbit Mountain is a wooded peninsula with hiking trails located on the shores of
Lake Chatuge. Offering breathtaking views of the lake and challenging terrain for hiking, the Jackrabbit area is a great place to take your family. In addition to the sandy beach and fenced playground, the park also has picnic facilities and bathrooms for convenience. Fire’s Creek Rim is located near the Tusquittee North Carolina Properties that I have listed in my
Hayesville Real Estate listings, and it features a great scenic hiking trail that leads you through grassy balds
and a hardwood forest. You can start hiking at the Fire’s Creek Picnic Area
at Leatherwood Falls and climb the ridge to the trail. The
complete loop trail offers 25 miles of Hiking in North
Carolina. In addition to the great hiking found here in Clay
County North Carolina, Upper Tellico has several great
trails for hiking and off-road vehicles to explore in the
National Forest. A great deal of the Upper Tellico trails
are difficult and steep, so only experienced trekkers will
want to explore Upper Tellico.
